A plane has been forced to turn around mid-air after a mother accidently left her baby behind at an airport.
The alarm was raised on board Saudi airline flight SV832, from Dubai to Malaysia at the weekend, where the frantic passenger demanded the plane turn back to King Abdul Aziz International Airport immediately.
“I forgot my baby at the airport.”
Say what now.
The plane had already taken off when the passenger alerted the crew, Gulf News reported.
Air-traffic officials assessed whether heading back for a baby was even permitted under airline protocol.
“Can we come back or what?” the pilot said, according to the translation on Gulf News.
“A passenger left her baby in the terminal and refuses to continue the flight.”
The operator replies, “OK, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us.”
