This month three missions arrive at our red neighbour, Mars. One will even carry a little bit of Australia. The photos have started to come in and there are some interesting findings.
9 February: Emirates Mars Mission from the United Arab Emirates arrives to build a complete picture of the Martian atmosphere.
10 February: Tianwen-1 Mission from China arrives in Martian orbit with planned landing in May. It will focus on research into Martian soil, Mars’ geological structure, environment, atmosphere as well as water.
18 February: NASA Perseverance Mission from the United States will look for signs of past microbial life, cache rock and soil samples, and prepare for human exploration.
