A State Of Origin game could be on the cards!
The Herald Sun is reporting that the AFL is “considering staging a game of representative football among current AFL stars.”
It’s believed the showcase game, which could happen as early as February, is being touted as part of a number of potential initiatives to help the bushfire relief effort.
The AFL has confirmed the news on Twitter.
The AFL is considering holding an All-Stars match to raise money for the Australian bushfire appeal.

“There are a number of ideas and initiatives we are working through with clubs and players across both AFL and AFLW that can support fundraising efforts in the short-term as well as support the ongoing rebuilding of local communities in the longer term,” a league spokesman said.
If it goes ahead, it would be the first State of Origin match since 1999.
