Last year in the middle of COVID chaos, Brisbane City Council put kerbside collection on hold, with an aim to bring it back in 2022.

Kerbside collection was paused last year with the council redirecting funds typically used to collect the waste redirected to help small businesses and groups doing it tough through 2020.

Now, much to the joy of everybody trying to get rid of that ugly IKEA cabinet that has been gathering dust since March last year, kerbside collection is coming back.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner joined Laurel, Gary & Mark to share the good news, and tell us why it’s coming back early.
