Uber has just released its first ever transparency report and they have revealed they provided the details of 12 million users to U.S regulatory bodies.

In the months between July and December 2015, the on demand ride sharing service provided the information for more than 12 million Uber riders and drivers to various company regulators.

The details of 469 users were also released to state and federal law enforcement agencies, with information on when and where trips were taking place for wanted people. They were able to help out the enforcement agencies with 85% of all cases.

The majority of cases are believed to be as a result of credit card fraud.

Uber has not disclosed any information on whether they are releasing information to any other 3rd parties.
