Working in an office is hardly the most thrilling of jobs, so you’ll be surprised to learn that if you spend your working days sitting at a desk you’re 60 per cent more likely to die early.

FML.

No seriously, a massive study from Cambridge University has found that one in six premature deaths caused by heart disease, stokes, cancer or type 2 diabetes, was directly linked with sitting at a desk all day.

It all boils down to movement.

While we’re sitting at our desks we’re not MOVING.

And we all know, we need an hour of movement a day to help ensure a long and healthy life.

Before you write this study off as another piece of academic sensationalist bulls**t, over one MILLION adults were surveyed, so it’s pretty legit.

Think of that the next time you spend your lunch break surfing Facebook at your desk!
