Fifty years after first breaking onto the international stage, fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has reportedly passed away at the age of 82.

He was the legendary designer that attracted the likes Sarah Jessica Parker, Audrey Hepburn and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

According to reports, the Dominican-born icon’s family have confirmed his death.

He was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.

De la Renta designs first became famous after becoming one of the designers to dress American first lady Jackie Kennedy in the 60s.

Most recently, de la Renta designed Amal Clonney’s wedding gown.
