The Queensland Government has revealed who will be the first in line to be vaccinated against COVID-19 once Australia takes delivery of the long-awaited Pfizer vaccine.
Health workers in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Townsville will be the first to receive the jab.
Authorities have pinpointed those locations as the most likely to see infections thanks to exposure to returning travellers.
Alongside health workers, those working in quarantine facilities, border staff and those working in the aged care and disability sectors will receive vaccinations within the first weeks.
Those identified as higher priorities are set to receive their jabs within the coming weeks.
The state currently has just 13 active cases throughout the state, with only one new case recorded in Queensland over the past 24 hours.
The new case was recorded in an overseas arrival who is currently in hotel quarantine.
