Just days after being publicly shamed as “too skinny” while pregnant, Rebecca Judd has shared her tips for a healthy pregnancy.
Giving the proverbial finger to the haters, the 33-year-old wrote on her blog that staying fit and healthy during pregnancy wasn’t “brain surgery”.
In the post title Healthy Pregnancy 101, Judd shared her three top tips, telling fans “As mothers to be, we must be so careful not to harm our precious cargo. And that’s the most important thing of all”.
The model and presenter, who is pregnant with twin boys, has been the target of others’ ire for her pregnancy figure.
After sharing photos from her baby shower on Instagram, the mother of two was called a “freak” and asked how she could “be carrying twins and be that thin”.
Others went so far as to tell her “you need a feed” and question why “her doctor didn’t confront this”.
However, it seems Judd hasn’t taken things to heart and was quick to emphasise how important a healthy pregnancy was.
Kicking off her list of tips, she revealed that she likes to stay fit and toned while pregnant by doing Great Expectations exercise classes and clinical pilates.
Next was the importance of fibre.
“It’s important to keep things moving so I am a Metamucil addict when pregnant,” she wrote.
“I add it to my smoothies in the morning with a teaspoon of chia for an extra fibre hit.”
She also shared that she increases her water, fresh fruit and muesli intake.
Her final tip was to always check with a health care professional before taking any medications, vitamins or supplements.
The mum has previously written on her blog that “healthy comes in all shapes and sizes”.
“Some people are naturally thin, some people are naturally bigger, some people are more athletic in tone, some people have minimal tone,” she wrote.
“We are all different and we are all NORMAL.”
