A woman has had a photo of her nipple removed from Facebook and people are MAD.

It all started when Rowena Kincaid, who has secondary stage four breast cancer, posted an image of her nipple to Facebook in an bid to raise awareness.

She hoped the image, which shows red blotchy skin around the nipple, would highlight how breast cancer can present itself in a wide variety of ways.

Hey my Bucketeers! I will be given news in the first week of Feb, for the transmission date & time of my programme! So…

The image received over 72,000 impressions over a couple of hours on Rowena’s public Facebook page but soon after it was taken down because it violated Facebook’s nudity policy.

Rowena was understandably devastated saying, “It (Facebook) can’t see that the picture I posted earlier, may actually save lives.

“I’m obviously totally gutted, as it took a lot to share my picture with you, because I’m so body conscious, & fretted about sharing at all!!”

She later added a smiley face to the post in an attempt to get her message seen by the maximum amount of people possible.

Hey you guys! You have all been so A-mazing! I’m listening to you all, & can see your anger & how upset some of you…
