Big bottomed girls have we got news for you.
The smart people over at the University of Oxford have dedicated their brainpower to one of the most important questions of our time: Are women with larger-than-average posteriors more clever than their little-bummed counterparts?
As it turns out, yes, they are.
And, in even better news, they’re healthier, too; ladies with rounder rumps tend to have lower cholesterol levels and are better at metabolising sugar.
It’s all thanks to a higher level of leptin, which helps regulate weight, and dinopectina, a hormone with wonderful anti-inflammatory, vascular-protective and anti-diabetic attributes.
That means you’re less likely to have diabetes or a heart problem, while the increase in Omega 3 fats floating around your body can help boost brain development.
The study analysed data from more than 16,000 women and will no doubt be music to the ears of many more.
