As the warm weather continues, Doctors have warned us not to be complacent about flu shots and hygiene, as Australia is on track to record it’s worst Summer flu season in years.
Comparing numbers from this time last year, there is a definite spike in the amount of flu cases, especially in Queensland, NSW and South Australia.
The warning is for all Australians, as flu cases are being spread with many people travelling while on holidays.

Researchers are looking into whether bi-annual flu vaccinations will have any merit in safe-guarding people from contracting the illness.
There is some really simple advice to help minimise your chances of getting sick:
Have your flu shot
Wash your hands
Try not to touch your nose, mouth or eyes
Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing
