Only in Hollywood is it normal to eat gold.

At this year’s 88th Annual Academy Awards, guests will be treated to 24-karat gold-covered miniature chocolate Oscar statues made by legendary chef, Wolfgang Puck.

The lavish treats will be served up at the post-Oscar’s Governors Ball and the rest of the menu will be just as extravagant.

Along with the gold statues, 500 lobsters, 40 king crabs and 35 whole wild salmon will be served up to the 1,500 expected guests.

The winners and losers will also celebrate (or drown their sorrows) with over 2,400 bottles of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, 2,700 bottles of Sterling Vineyard wine and 120 bottle of Haig Club Scotch.

Even if Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t go home winning for Best Actor in The Revenant, he can still go home with a gold Oscar?
