Would you be willing to pay $88 for your chocolate fix?
Nestle Australia is about to release the world’s most exclusive Kit Kat, a limited edition 24 karat gold-covered bar to celebrate the Chinese New Year!
Only 88 bars containing Phoenix Oolong tea leaves from the Guangdong Province of China paired with lychee and fragrant rose petals will be made.
The bars are topped off with whole rose buds and rose jelly. YUM.
The bars will go on sale at 8am on Thursday January 28th at the Kit Kat Studio in Melbourne.
Why 88 bars and why $88 dollars? Well the number 8 is considered lucky in the Chinese culture as it is linked to good fortune and wealth.
For a more reasonable $6, the concept store will also introduce four special editions – Tangerine Creme Brulee, Taro and Black Sesame, Red Bean and Toasted Coconut and Almond cookie, all also to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
