A price war between Coles and Woolworths means you could score a bargain this Christmas!
The supermarket giants are going head to head over who can offer the best deals and it looks like the big winner will be shoppers.
Already they’re squabbling over prices, with Coles claiming it’s basket of 29 Christmas products is $13.64 cheaper.
It includes fruit mince pies for $1.50 frozen turkey for $22, a half ham leg for $6.75 and raw frozen tiger prawns for $28 a kilo.
Woolworths has responded by offering up their own major discounts on Gravox, Bulla cream, roasting trays along with Roses tin chocolates (down to just $13.50).
Talking to The Daily Telegraph, Coles’ John Durkan says shoppers will have one of the best-valued Christmas’ in years.
Woolworth’s Steve Donohue backed the claim, promising best value, quality and service.
