Of course, you can’t help getting sick, but Matt Corby has inadvertently disappointed a lot of people when he had to cancel both of his Sydney shows.
Many people travelled far to see him, he’s so amazing on the mic after all – and many were left out in the cold when it was announced that illness would force him to cancel both his Tuesday and Wednesday night gigs.
Luckily, Krispy Kreme have come to the rescue, and are offering every person with a Matt Corby ticket* a FREE doughnut in a bid to make up for it. Why? The CEO of Krispy Kreme, Andrew McGuigan explained.
“We know Matt Corby has a huge love for doughnuts so can only hope our small gesture for fans will bring some joy to an otherwise grey and rainy Sydney day! We are wishing Matt a huge ‘get well soon’ from the whole team at Krispy Kreme and have also sent him some American Classics to hopefully aid recovery.
“To launch the American Classics we’ve been working with songwriters and Spotify to make sure it’s not only the taste buds which are in for a treat…but the ears too. When recovered, we would love Matt to cover one of the original doughnut tunes…who knows, we could have a future hit on our hands!”
So, you heard it here first!
The FIRST ten in store with their ticket will get a doughnut from the new American Classics range – and everyone else will score an original glazed.
I’d run if I were you, the Coconut Creme doughnut is TO DIE FOR.
Remember, offer is redeemable in NSW Krispy Kreme stores only – does not include 7-Eleven stores*
(To receive a free doughnut, fans must show a print out of Matt Corby Sydney gig tickets from Tuesday 12 April or Wednesday 13 April, in any one of the Sydney Krispy Kreme stores. One doughnut will be provided per person, per ticket.)
