DoorDash, the leading on-demand food platform for door-to-door delivery in the U.S., has arrived in Brisbane – the third metro city launch in Australia.
DoorDash has partnered with hundreds of restaurants across Brisbane, including local independent favourites such as Red Hook New York Street Food, Taro’s Ramen, Burger Urge and Brooklyn Depo, plus well-known brands such as McDonald’s, Subway and Guzman y Gomez!
As restrictions ease across the state, DoorDash is rolling out initiatives to assist businesses on the road to recovery. These include a Weblinks Program designed to help drive revenue through a restaurant’s own website, with 0% commissions on orders placed through weblinks, for delivery or pick-up, until the end of 2020.
To also help drive sales for local favourites on the app, there will be free delivery for all local restaurant orders every Saturday throughout June, as part of the company’s Main Street Strong initiative to help restaurants navigate the next phase of recovery – AMAZING!
Other incredible promotions have been put in place for the launch of the app:
- “30 or $30” promotion for new customers: meals not delivered within 30 minutes provide customers with a voucher for $30 off their next order
- For every delivery made between launch and June 30, DoorDash will donate one meal to Foodbank Queensland, helping them provide food relief to vulnerable people across the state
- To encourage locals to try a host of foodie options, there will be 10% off a selection of restaurants from June 16 to June 30
- The app will feature a unique ‘pick-up’ function, allowing users to collect their meals on the go at no extra cost, plus ‘group ordering’ which makes it easy for large groups to order together
