Join us at Roma Street Parklands, South Bank, or online for Jumoo (Smoking) this Friday, to open Brisbane Festival 2020. As the sun sets we will journey through stories, song and smoke in a very special, city-wide smoking ceremony to lead us peacefully and respectfully into September. We encourage you to make an evening of it; picnic in the beautiful parklands and stay for entertainment afterwards.
Brisbane Festival operates under a Queensland Health approved COVID Safe Event Plan.
Current advice is that all events can proceed as planned, however the program will be adjusted to meet evolving restrictions and directions by Queensland Health.
The wellbeing of audiences and community, artists and staff remains Brisbane Festival’s top priority.
The festival will run 4 – 26 September and you can explore the program here.
