Joan Rivers was no stranger to the lavish lifestyle. The late comedian was definitely a fan of the high life and made no apologies – for anything she did, in fact.
After her passing in September while undergoing an endoscopy, her apartment at 1 East 62nd Street is now on the market – for a whopping $28 million!
The lavish digs are made up of four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and takes up the top three floors of the building.
It’s decked out with incredible furnishings the entire way through, reflecting Rivers’ indulgent taste to a tee.
“Everybody says a woman’s bedroom should look like a bordello,” Rivers told NBC’s “TODAY” in 2011. “It’s such a comfort, my bedroom. It is my main closet which, again, for a New Yorker, this is huge. For anybody else in America, it’s like who cares.”
Reportedly, Rivers’ daughter, Melissa threw one last gathering in the apartment, just after her mother’s funeral. It was meant to be a tribute to the life of celebration and humor that Rivers led.
