What a way to remember their legacy.
HBO has released the official trailer to the documentary ‘Bright Lights’ which details the amazing mother – daughter relationship between Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher.
“Mother and I live next door to each other,” begins Fisher in the bittersweet trailer which premiers January 7 on HBO.
Featuring archival footage and home movies which highlight the incredible bond between the two, one scene shows Carrie voicing her concern about going to work on the new Star Wars film while worrying about her mother’s health.
The trailer promises a love story and a behind the scenes look at Hollywood royalty.
“I’m my mom’s best friend. Far more than I would ever want to, I know what my mother feels and wants,” Fisher says.
Watch the trailer above but be warned, you may need some tissues handy….
Fisher famously documented her relationship with Reynolds in the novel Postcards From The Edge which was later turned into the 1990 film of the same name starring Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine.
