It was a bittersweet day last week as the world remembered Queen vocalist Freddie Mercury on what would have been his 70th birthday.
Arguably the greatest frontman of all time, Freddie is so revered for his flamboyance and showmanship that sometimes one of his greatest strengths – his incredible singing voice – doesn’t get enough recognition.
Well, we’ve found a new video that showcases just what amazing pipes he had when belting out a song.
On this occasion it’s a mix of the 1977 classic ‘We Are The Champions’ with the rest of his Queen bandmates removed and features Mercury’s ridiculously amazing vocals on their own.
This version is guaranteed to give you chills and makes us even more grateful for the relatively short time that Freddie was here to amaze and entertain us.
