If you’ve ever dreamt of owning your very own private island, listen up! The only house on Pelorus Island, off the east coast of northern Queensland is now on the market, meaning your dream could soon be a reality.

Located 45 nautical miles north off Townsville, the island is around four-square kilometres. The beachfront home features two bedrooms, one bathroom and is self-sufficient thanks to solar power and rainwater tanks.

The 4000sqm property comes fully furnished and with its very own speedboat – winning! There’s also a barge service which operates daily making it easy to pick up groceries and other necessities.

Tony and Vicki Briggs purchased the property over 20 years ago, using it as a stopover while they operated a Great Barrier Reef cruise business. Since selling the business in 2014 the couple have used the property as a holiday house.

Understandably, agent James Pascoe from Colliers International told news.com.au the house had gathered a lot of interest with around 50,000 views online.

While the properties price tag is unclear, Mr Pascoe said it is flexible.
