This Easter will be like no Easter we’ve had before. Many families will be pulled apart as households are urged to stay home and traditions put aside.
It’s great to see big businesses doing their bit to help those who are doing all they can to protect us, and Woolworths has just announced a massive donation that will go a long way.
The supermarket giant will give away 20,000 Easter eggs and 20,000 Easter bunnies to healthcare at hospitals nationwide. It’s a sweet (and delicious) way to say thank you.
“We wanted to do something special for our healthcare workers who are on the front line of this crisis. We know it’s a small thing, but we hope our donation of Easter eggs and bunnies will be able to bring a little joy during this busy time,” Woolworths Supermarkets Managing Director Claire Peters said.
The supermarket has also dropped prices around the store in a bid to make the big day a little lighter on the wallet so people can still have a nice lunch and enjoy some yummy hot cross buns while money is tight.
