If you love the Oscars, no doubt you love seeing everyone frock up and look fabulous.
The 2016 awards were certainly no exception. As expected, Chris Rock was at his controversial best, dropping jokes about some of the industry’s finest, including Jada Pinkett-Smith, who chose to boycott the awards after the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.
However, it wasn’t until he introduced Stacey Dash, former Clueless actor turned Fox News conservative pundit, that the crowd really reacted.
Stacey had recently weighed into the #OscarsSoWhite debate like Jada, however, unlike Jada, Stacey announced that she believes institutes that celebrate black achievements – like Black History Month and the Black Entertainment Network (BET) should be abolished. Eeeeeeek.

So, when Chris Rock introduced her as ‘the new director of our Minority Outreach Program’, she was met with a piddly, barely-there applause.
I mean, it was enough to make your half-deaf Grandmother cringe.

Her awkward, over-the-top giggle topped it off.
That moment was only superseded by what came out of her mouth next, “I cannot wait to help my people out. Happy Black History Month!’ she announced, to a flabbergasted audience.

She let out a very small “thank you” before scuttling from the stage. Chrissy Teigen’s face seemed to sum up the reaction nicely…
