“I started The Way We Met two weeks ago for many reasons but one of the main ones was to put real, genuine, wholesome love back into the world. I’m so sick of social media being all about which celebrity has the most plastic surgery and who’s cheating on who. So to everyone who is following, just know you are a part of being a change in our world. My stories are about average people finding love. It doesn’t matter what your race is, skin color, sexual preference; there is someone out there for everyone. My mission is to share positive stories to remind everyone what is important. This account isn’t about making single people feel alone and sad, it’s about giving them hope. So please stay tuned for many many more wonderful stories to come. Love is the greatest joy of living, and everyone is worthy! I love you all!”

“We met in high school. I’m a year older than him but we both played on the soccer team. One day his toe fell off. No literally, mid-soccer game he broke his big toe and it was hanging on by a thin piece of skin. He was cringing and screaming. Stuff like that doesn’t bother me so I sat by his side until his family came and took him to the hospital. For the next 4 years we were best friends. Last year, I got into a horrible car accident and became paralyzed from the waist down. I was in the hospital for 7 months and he drove 6 hours every weekend to sit next to me and hold my hand as I slept. That was it. I loved him, and I think he always loved me too. The minute I was out of the hospital he officially asked me to be his girlfriend, wheelchair and all. It’s been a year now, and I know I found my soulmate.”
“AJ pulled up next to me at a red light and waved at me and i smiled back. The light turned green and we met at the next red light where he motioned me to roll down my window. We had just enough time to introduce ourselves before the light turned green again. He looked back and said “I’m going to see you again,” and drove away. We didn’t get a chance to exchange numbers. A week later I was at a local deli with friends, and little did I know, he worked there. We reintroduced ourselves, and as I was about to leave, I wrote my number on a napkin. When I went to hand it to him, he already had his number ready to give to me too. It’s been a green light ever since.”
“I never imagined that serving coffee was how I’d find true love. We were both working at different Starbucks when I first met him. I was grabbing coffee with friends at his store and introduced myself. Sparks were definitely flying but the relationship didn’t unfold until a couple months later when I was transferred to work at his Starbucks location. Coffee is the way to many people’s hearts, and I definitely took a double shot.”
“So how did this southern belle from South Carolina and this city boy from Michigan end up together? It all started 2 years ago when we met on a college internship program at Disney. We worked together for nearly 5 months before we realized we were perfect for each other. After that we were inseparable; stealing kisses from each other at work and trying to hide it from our co-workers. When the internship ended, our relationship was long distance for a while because I had to go back to school and he stayed to pursue his career. Now, we live together in Orlando where our fairytale began. I guess the moral of the story is Disney Magic IS real!”
“My boyfriend Nick and I were high school sweethearts. We started dating when I was 15 in high school until I was almost 20 and in college. I broke up with him because we were young and both had some growing up to do. But last November, at our HIGH SCHOOL REUNION, I realized I would never love anyone else the way I love him. We got back together that evening and have been together ever since, 6 months and going strong!”
“We worked at the same company. She was in the key punch department (they don’t have those anymore) and I was in the blueprint department, so our paths would cross. I took her out to lunch at the cafeteria, and wouldn’t you know it, I didn’t have any money on me so she had to pay! The rest is history. I’ve been paying ever since, gladly. We’ve been married for over 58 years.”
