Shailene Woodley has said that she thinks if teen girls knew how to masturbate, teenage pregnancy rates would decrease.
She told The Edit ‘’As a young woman you don’t learn how to pleasure yourself, you don’t learn what an orgasm should be, you don’t learn that you should have feelings of satisfaction.’’
“If masturbation were taught in school, I wonder how [many] fewer people would get herpes aged 16, or pregnant at 14?”
The 24-year-old star, known for appearing in The Fault In Our Stars, is so confident about the idea that she one day wants to write a book called There’s No Right Way To Masturbate.
Woodley says she has never been shy about talking about the female body and in 2014 said ‘’agina a little vitamin D”.
“If you’re feeling depleted, go in the sun for an hour and see how much energy you get,” she said at the time.
“Or, if you live in a place that has heavy winters, when the sun finally comes out, spread your legs and get some sunshine.”
