Ozzy Osbourne has changed his story on his alleged ‘sex addiction’ following his marriage troubles with wife Sharon.
Speaking to The Times, the Black Sabbath frontman has blamed his behaviour on his rock star lifestyle.
“I’m in a f**king rock band, aren’t I? There have always been groupies. I just got caught, didn’t I?” Ozzy said. “It was a bump in the road. I bet your marriage has bumps in the road too an’ all. In any marriage you grow apart if you don’t spend enough time together, and that was part of the problem. I don’t think I’m a f**king sex addict.”
Sharon, 65, split from Ozzy, 68, in May last year after reports he had cheated with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.
The Talk co-host had ‘suspected for some time’ that her husband of 35 years had been cheating and a rep for Ozzy told People in August he had been battling sex addiction for years.
“He would like to apologise to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy.”
Ozzy confirmed on Good Morning America in July his marriage with Sharon is “back on track.” “No, it’s just a bump in the road is all,” Ozzy said. “Some days [marriage] is good, so some days [are] terrible, some days you just drift apart for awhile. But you get back on the horse you know?”
The Osbournes have been married since 1982.
