The most exciting part of going on holiday is getting to the airport, being given your boarding pass and getting to the gate.

The next thing you do is take a photo of your boarding pass to let the world know you are heading off.

Well, we should probably stop doing that.

According to a recent blog post by experts KrebsonSecurity, there are now websites that specialize in retrieving your personal information from the barcodes on your boarding passes.

Apprently, they are sod advanced that they can read your barcode through your picture and then provide someone else with all your travel information. That includes your phone number, frequent flyer number and future travel plans.

It’s nuts.
