It’s the most addictive thing around.
Since it arrived in Australia, it’s pretty impossible to go a few days without going ”I will just sneak in one more episode of..” and before you know it’s 2AM and you have fallen asleep on the sofa.
New research from Netflix itself has shown which TV shows we are powering our way through, the results are quite surprising.
Shows like Sense8, Orphan Black and The 100 are shows that take everything out of us and make it really hard to pull away BUT after the hour we take a break. We still binge on them but it’s hard work.
However, shows like Orange is The New Black, Nurse Jackie and race and Frankie really make us giggle, so it is really easy to just say ”one more” and the stats show, we run out of series quicker than any other shows.
There is no surprise that shows that are intense, take a lot of thought and time to process aren’t binged as much. House of Cards and Bloodline are indulged in, at a much slower pace.
Vice President of Original Content at Netflix, Cindy Holland said ”Netflix helps you to find a series to binge no matter your mood or occasion, and the freedom to watch that series at your own pace – whether that’s to appreciate the drama of Bloodline or power through Orange is the New Black.”
There is one thing for sure. Give me a weekend and I can work through ANYTHING.
