But arguably the funniest movie of 2005 was almost canned a week into filming by Universal for the strangest of reasons.
Apparently from the footage shot in the first week, Universal were scared that main character Steve Carell looked too much like a serial killer for the movie to go ahead.
Pulling the director Judd Apatow and lead cast into a meeting on the Friday after the first week, Universal shut them down.
Fortunately for us, they did go back to filming on the Monday and obviously Universal changed their minds…
