On U.S. TV show ‘CBS This Morning’ yesterday, legendary guitarist Slash was asked about the possibility of a Guns N’ Roses reunion. In response, Slash told the hosts, “never say never.”
“If everybody wanted to do it and do it for the right reasons, I think the fans would love it,” Slash said. “I think it might be fun at some point to try and do that.”
Slash officially left GNR in 1996. When asked when was the last time he spoke to GNR frontman Axl Rose, who’s the lone remaining original member in the band, Slash admitted they hadn’t spoken in “a long time.”
“But a lot of the tension…has dissipated,” he added, referring to the relationship between the band members. “We don’t have all those issues anymore. It’s not a lot of controversy.”
As for the band he’s in now, Slash also announced he and Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will be releasing a new video for their World on Fire track, “Beneath the Savage Sun.” Slash created the video with the International Fund for Animal Welfare to raise awareness of endangered elephants.
