The Rolling Stones new expanded Sticky Fingers will feature a rare version of ‘Brown Sugar’ with Eric Clapton.

‘Brown Sugar’ is the opening track on the Sticky Fingers album, released in 1971. It was also the first single from the album.

A version of the song featuring Eric Clapton and Al Kooper was recorded at Olympic Studios in London on 18 December, 1970. The song was recorded during Keith Richards 27th birthday celebrations and was considered for release on the original album but then cast aside for the version we all now know. This version will finally be released on the upcoming Sticky Fingers reissue of June 7.
