Radiohead fans have given their verdict on the band’s new track Burn The Witch, released just days after the band completely vanished from the internet.

The English rock band dropped the song early Wednesday morning accompanied by a stop-motion video, which has already reached 867,000 views on its YouTube channel.

Radiohead had earlier this week removed its official website and deleted its Twitter account and on Sunday sent cryptic flyers to fans in the post, prompting speculation about when the new album would be released.

But the band is now back online with a new song and their fans love it.

“SO amazing from Radiohead… so glad to see they are back with such an amazing tune and vid! Ridonk!” Another added.

Praise for the release of the new track flooded Radiohead’s Facebook page with some fans describing the song as a “masterpiece”.

“I closed my eyes and listened and I got goosebumps. Thank you so much for a great song,” Nina Henry added.

Other reviews weren’t so positive.

“It’s just noise. We’ve done our bit,” Guy Mason wrote on the band’s Facebook page.

Radiohead, who have been on hiatus since 2012, had enormous success in the 1990s with the hit albums The Bends, OK Computer and Kid A.
