Okay we’re calling it, the Pokemon craze has officially gone crazy.

What’s crazier than people trying to catch imaginary creatures in the real world with their phones we hear you ask?

People naming their babies after imaginary creatures. Aka Pokemon.

According to Baby Center, there’s been an increase in people looking to the show to name their newborns.

Think the likes of Roselia, Onyx, Star and Eevee.

Baby Center’s Linda Murray says people are always looking towards pop culture for inspiration.

“We see babies named after TV show characters, celebrities, and even Instagram filters,” she told Buzzfeed.

“Millennials are particularly attracted to technology and ’90s nostalgia, which is one of the reasons we think Pokémon Go is already having an impact on baby naming trends among pregnant women.”

Already there have been a spike in several Pokemon-inspired names.

And it’s not the more conventional Ash, Shay and Ivy that take out the top spots!
