Former Neighbours stars Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce are reuniting to star in an Australian comedic feature film.
Minogue and Pearce who played Charlene and Mike on Ramsay street will work together for the first time since their Neighbours days for the production of Flammable Children, Screen Australia reports.
Stephen Elliot, the backbone to The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, will direct the film that will also star Australian actress Radha Mitchell.
According to Screen Australia, the film is set in a 1975 suburban Australia when Saigon is set to fall, 2JJ hits the airwaves, a constitutional crisis surfaces and the “sexual revolution is in full swing”.

The film will not only act as a Neighbours reunion but will reconvene the award-winning cast and crew from Priscilla including production designer Colin Gibson, costume designer Lizzy Gardiner, film editor Sue Blainey and composer Guy Gross.
Screen Australia’s CEO Graeme Mason described the film as “smart and funny, with a distinctly nostalgic flavour that I think people will really connect with”.
Flammable Children will start production in south-east Queensland in October later this year.
Let’s hope this performance of Minogue and Pearce is more memorable than when the Neighbours stars performed the national anthem before the 1986 rugby league grand final!
