A two year old boy is recovering after falling into a cheetah exhibit at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

The toddlers mum was dangling him over the edge, holding him and another child when he slipped and fell about 11 ft.

The child was rescued by his parents before firefighters and paramedics on the scene.

The cheetahs reportedly ignored the boy and his parents while they went into the pit to rescue him.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo plans to press child endangerment charges against the family this week.
