Australia has a reputation for having some of the deadliest animals in the world, and our spiders are some of the most feared in the world.

But have a look at these little guys!

A newly discovered breed called Peacock spiders are tiny little creatures who are brightly coloured and love to rock out!

Sydney scientist  Dr Jurgen Otto found these spiders that are no longer than a few millimeters in Western Australia, and since then his video’s of the  funny looking arachnids have been a hit on You Tube.

Speaking to the ABC Dr Otto says:

“They’re just absolutely incredible. People still think that I make them up because they’re so unbelievable. People can’t picture that they’re such a package of beauty.

Normally people think of spiders as something ugly, scary and dangerous, but they’re learning through my photographs and videos — they’re cute and colourful and adorable!

Even people who hate spiders, extreme arachnophobes love these spiders. They can’t help it.”
