Mariah Carey’s birthday concert in Brussels, Belgium may not go on as planned after terror attacks rocked the European city Tuesday. According to TMZ, the singer is being warned not to perform the show on Sunday.
Her security team is reportedly “strongly against” the concert, believing the venue could be a target given Mariah’s high-profile status and the fact that she’s engaged to a billionaire. There are also logistical reasons for cancelling. Airports might be closed and the show’s crew including Mariah – might not even be able to get into the country.
TMZ reports no final decision has been made yet. Mariah’s people are apparently waiting for advice from the regional U.S. Embassy.
Multiple explosions at two different locations — the Zaventem International Airport and a Brussels subway station — have killed at least 34 people. ISIS has reportedly claimed responsibility.
