Margaret Atwood has announced a speaking tour of Australia.
The much-loved author behind The Handmaid’s Tale and Alias Grace will start her tour in Sydney on February 16, before heading to Canberra (19th), Brisbane (22nd), Melbourne (23rd), Hobart (24th) and Perth (March 1).
The three-week tour is the first one she’s done in Australia, and the 80-year-old said she’s excited to be “in a country where readers have always been so warm and welcoming”.
Atwood’s popularity has experienced a revival in recent years on the back of the television remake of ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ and its recently released sequel ‘The Testaments’
