There has been plenty of speculation about the Olsen twins reprising their role of Michelle Tanner in the Fuller House return and we finally have the official verdict.
Sad news for the TV show fans, with executive producer Robert L Boyett confirming the girls have DECLINED the invitation to return.
“Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family,” executive producer Robert L. Boyett told The Hollywood Reporter.
“It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.”
Jodie Sweetin who played middle sister Stephanie in the original series was coy when speaking about the upcoming series but insisted that the show would be ‘family friendly with an edge’.
Set to premiere in 2016 on Netflix, rumours are circulating that the series will take on a similar premise to the original but this time centered around a pregnant DJ Tanner-Fuller who has been recently widowed and how younger sister Stephanie and best friend and single mother Kimmy – along with her teenage daughter – move in to help support DJ raise her two sons.
We can’t wait!
