Led Zeppelin recently announced plans to release an expanded version of the 1997 archival compilation BBC Sessions, featuring live recordings that aired on British radio from 1969 to 1971, on September 16. Now, a video teaser showing what’s included in the Super Deluxe Edition of The Complete BBC Sessions has premiered on the band’s official website and YouTube channel.
The clip, which is set to a previously unreleased version of “Communication Breakdown,” shows the box set opening to display its three CDs, five vinyl LPs, 44-page book, high-definition download card and limited-edition print of the cover art.
The original BBC Sessions album was released as a two-CD set in November 1997. The updated collection, which was produced by Jimmy Page, features bonus recordings, including eight previously unreleased tracks. Three of these tunes are from an April 1969 session that had long been considered lost.
The Complete BBC Sessions also is being released, separately, as a three-CD set, a five-LP package and a digital download.
