Mia Moyle, 8, was awarded a certificate of appreciation and a teddy bear from the Queensland Ambulance Services after being brave during a 000 call last month.

Her mother Kelly spoke to Laurel, Gary and Mark this morning about her bravery and quick thinking when she noticed her father was having an epileptic fit while her mother was at work.

As it was a known medical condition, the family had practiced the procedure if Mia ever needed to call the emergency services, but the fact that she did it in such a calm and controlled manner left a strong impression on both her family and the emergency response services.
