If you needed any reassurance that karma was a legit thing, well, here it is…
A homeless man’s random act of kindness has been repaid ten-fold.
Joey, a rough sleeper at Covenant Garden in London, offered his coat and doona to a young couple who became stranded after they missed their train after a night out.
And his good deed was life changing, to say the least.
Charlotte Ellis and boyfriend Taylor Waldon were so touched by Joey’s kind gesture, that they invited him to stay with them in their family home.
“All my friends and family initially thought we were crazy and thought the worst,” she told The Mirror.
“After we introduced them to Joey they all loved him instantly because he is honestly such a genuine guy.”
They also helped him get a job, after feeding him, taking him for a haircut and buying him a mobile phone and some new clothes.
Charlotte told The Sun: “Joey is the most amazing, caring and incredible human that we have ever met and I’m so blessed to have been a part of getting him off the streets.”
Adding: “All he needed was someone to have faith in him and to help be that stepping stone to make a difference to someone’s life.
“Sometimes, all someone needs is someone to give them a little bit of their time.”
Charlotte shared her chance meeting with Joey in a very touching Facebook post, which has been shared more than 1,000 times.
Consider our faith in humanity restored.
