Australia, we could be about to get a MASSIVE change.
And it’s all to do with our National anthem – yep, it could be changing…
According to a report on Junkee, the Australian Republic Movement are keen to adopt an Aussie classic as the new National anthem, if we were ever to become a republic.
The tune they want? None other than Daryl Braithwaite’s ‘Horses’. Duh.
This week marks the 25th anniversary of the iconic hit song hitting number 1 on the Australian charts – so it makes PERFECT sense to honour it, right?!
Many people who share a distaste for Prince Charles have revealed that if he were to become our head of state, they’d be more likely to want to become a republic – so it could definitely be in the cards.
@mckinnon_a @cameronwilson That’s the way it’s gonna be, in our republic. #yeahyeah 🐴🐴

Can you imagine belting out the Daryl Braithwaite classic, now 25 years old, from the stands of a stadium?
No need to, Melbourne Victory fans already took care of it at a match.
I’m almost shedding a tear…
