David Bowie has been commemorated in the form of a giant mural, unveiled to a crowd of fans in Bosnia on Saturday.
The artwork, measuring 13m by 10.5m, was created by local artists Enis Cisic – an illustrator for Marvel Comics – and Zoran Herceg. The mural features the slogan “Fashion changes, but you’ll always be my heroes,” making reference to Bowie’s hits ‘Fashion’ and ‘Heroes?’

As reported by NME, Bowie had shown interest in the Bosnian conflict at its height and in the early 90’s, purchased an anti-war painting by artist Peter Howson.
