Georgie Gardner has shared her family’s heartbreak over a miscarriage she had last year.
The former Today Show newsreader spoke to Mamamia TV this week and said she “still feel[s] completely unfinished on that front”, after she lost her third child in the early stages of pregnancy.
It was her second miscarriage, and she said that she and her husband, Tim Baker, have had to battle the “immense pain” that comes with such losses.
She shared that they have “accepted it [having another child] isn’t going to happen”, as they do not want to try IVF treatment.
“Some women I know have miscarriages and are very accepting and say that’s OK, that’s nature taking its course,” she told Show and Tell last year, “but, my god, it really took me to a very deep and dark place.”
Gardner and Baker have two healthy children Angus, 9, and Bronte, 7.
The TV personality left the Today Show last year to spend more time with her family.
