You may remember late last year a story broke involving former NRL player Beau Ryan and an alleged affair with former High-5 star, Lauren Brant.
The fling was said to take place after the two met while working on the musical, Aladdin And His Wondrous Lamp.
Speaking to Woman’s Day, Beau’s childhood sweetheart Kara, who has not spoken publicly before, explained that when the news broke, amid all the drama, she was actually more worried about Beau, than herself.
‘I was actually more worried for Beau, if I’m honest,’ she said.
She explained that Beau was still a good man and a good father to three-year-old Remi, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
‘The grass isn’t always greener, and while it was a difficult situation, running from anything in life is never the answer.’
Then there was the media drama the pair were forced to go through, ‘I’m probably emotionally stronger than Beau, and I could see how upset he was, so I was more concerned for him and our family.’
At the time when the news broke, Lauren’s former fiance told Woman’s Day the pair had a fling after meeting through the production.
A few weeks after the scandal broke, Beau took to the stage during on The Footy Show, after having time off, and issued a public apology.
‘Firstly, I just want to apologise to all the people who have been hurt recently. It’s been really, really hard for myself and my family and everyone involved,’ he said.
‘I want to thank everyone for their support, and thank everyone who has been very respectful of our privacy – I’d love for people to continue to do that.’
