There’s one person not laughing at Ellen DeGeneres’ antics after the talk show host made fun of a real estate sign.

Titi Pierce is less than impressed after Ellen made fun of her name in the segment What’s Wrong With These Ads…And These Signs?

In fact, she’s that unhappy about being referred to as “titty”, she’s taking legal action.

According to her complaint, it’s the first time her name, which means ‘flower’ in Nigeria, has been pronounced that way.

“In all her 35 years of life, no one has ever referred to Ms Pierce as ‘titty’ until the Defendant did so on February 22, 2016 on national television,” the legal complaint claims.

“Prior to the Defendant’s misdeeds, Ms Pierce has been called only by her name ‘Titi’, which as grammar dictates, is pronounced ‘TEE TEE’.”

After the segment went to air, Pierce’s complaint says she was the subject of “immediate ridicule”.

She also received a number of calls while attending a family funeral as the phone number on the sign had not originally been pixelated.

Now, of course, she’s seeking damages. Oh and to stop the segment being aired.

While we would have thought this would have been a great opportunity to promote your business “as seen on Ellen”, it seems tit’s not funny. For Titi at least.
