Elizabeth Hurley’s teen son is set to make his acting debut in her U.S. TV drama The Royals.
The British star is currently filming the third season of the raunchy series, in which she plays the Queen of a fictional royal family inhabiting Buckingham Palace, and this time around she’s joined by a very special guest.
On Monday, Elizabeth posted a selfie with her son Damian on Instagram to reveal the casting news, and wrote, “Mama taking a back seat tomorrow on the set of #TheRoyals. Passing the baton to my son, who is guest starring as Prince Hansel von Liechtenstein.”
The next day, the actress shared another shot with Damian, this time in a car on their way home following his first day on set. The proud mum wrote, “On our way home from the set of #TheRoyals. A million congratulations to my son on his first day filming #PrinceHansel.”
Even before Damian landed a role on the show, Elizabeth told E! News that he caught the acting bug, revealing, “He just turned 14 and he loves it, he wants to go into movies in some way.”
The Royals, which is filming in her native England, won’t kick off the new season until December, but Elizabeth promises just as much sex, drugs and scandal as there has been in the previous two series.
“There’s a lot of intrigue, there’s a lot of scandal, there’s a lot of drama going on,” she confessed. “There’s definitely some big twists coming up.”
It is unclear how many episodes Damian, Elizabeth’s son with American businessman Steve Bing, will be in this season
