Don Henley wrapped up his European tour on Sunday, opening for Carole King in London’s Hyde Park.
After doing “Hotel California” he said, “This has been a difficult year in our camp. Thank you for all your messages of support and love. This one’s for Glenn [Frey].” And with that he went into “Desperado.”
Frey died on January 18th from complications of rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, while recovering from gastrointestinal tract surgery. He was 67.
Henley starts his North American tour on July 13th in Penticton, Canada. The first U.S. date is July 17th in Ridgefield, Washington.
